Sharp introduces new range of Future Workplace A3 colour MFPs

Sharp today announces the launch of its Future Workplace A3 MFP Series, extending Sharp’s eco-system of smart office tools to help businesses seamlessly adapt to meet the demands of hybrid working. The fifteen new colour MFPs, with speeds of 26ppm to 65ppm, offer users effortless connectivity and state-of-the-art security without compromising commitment to sustainability.

The new next generation A3 MFP range will be launched today at Sharp’s Future Workplace Event, where its Senior Executive team will share how Sharp’s eco-system of smart office devices and services can help businesses to build for the Future Workplace.

Seamless connectivity for the hybrid office
Sharp’s new range of MFPs offer businesses an unprecedented level of flexible connectivity, suitable for today’s and the future’s workplace needs. In a world-first, the new models feature a native Microsoft Teams connector, meaning employees can easily print from and scan documents to their Teams channels and folders. In addition, the Synappx Go mobile app enables contactless and remote printing from smartphones and mobile devices. For even greater flexibility, users can wirelessly print from any Wi-Fi enabled laptop, tablet or smartphone without the need to set up a wireless LAN.

Smart functionality designed for the future, ready for today
As well as offering a stylish modern look, the Future Workplace MFPs also provide a range of time saving functions and intuitive ease-of-use. The customisable 10.1-inch tiltable LCD touchscreen control panel offers a consistent user interface common across Sharp’s current range, enhancing the user experience and enabling those already familiar with Sharp devices to be ready to work right away. The new MFPs are also highly resilient and enable location-free Remote Monitoring and Management. Designed to be future proof, the Application Portal provides software updates and cloud connector apps to ensure users’ MFPs are always up-to-date.

Unparalleled security to protect users, devices and data
The new models feature user-friendly state-of-the-art security to protect each device – and the data it processes. BIOS-based security instantly prevents the device from starting if errors are found, while pre-installed root certificates prevent any unauthorised use of devices. Raising the bar with a range of class-leading security features, the new MFPs also integrate with broader security strategies and include BitDefender anti-malware support – making it much easier for IT teams to keep data, devices and networks secure.

Supporting businesses’ environmental goals
Protecting the environment is now a key consideration for many businesses - Sharp’s new MFPs provide significant environmental benefits, with up to 27% more energy saving compared with previous generations. In addition, smart diagnostics, and minimised waste features help to strengthen businesses’ eco-friendly credentials by delivering a superior performance across the full range of environmental concerns. What’s more, the new remote management capabilities help to significantly reduce the carbon emissions associated with on-premise maintenance.

Alexander Hermann, President of Sharp Information Systems, says: “We understand that the hybrid world of work demands greater connectivity and better security – without compromising on environmental goals. This is why we focused on delivering on all of these points with our new MFP range, and are committed to developing these for the entire Sharp ecosystem. Together, with our products and services, we can help our customers build more flexible and more secure workplaces fit for the future.”

The new models will be available to buy from June from Sharp and its partners. Later this year, Sharp will also add a series of monochrome models to the line-up.
